Mid Atlantic Outdoors

Hi folks...

Mid Atlantic Outdoors is an online publication dedicated to bringing to you the best coverage of all the outdoor activities in the Mid Atlantic Region (New York to northern Virginia).

From rock climbing in the Shawangunks to screaming single track in Jim Thorpe, PA, to the grand daddy of all trails, the Appalachian Trail, to running Class V rapids on the Gauly and kayak surfing along the Jersey shore we're covering it all.

Look, we all would love to be able to spend six months preparing and three months climbing Everest or exploring the Amazonian jungle in Peru or doing a thru hike on the Appalachian but we're stuck in reality here. Jobs, families and other commitments have us where we are and though the heart might pound for adventure the opportunities no longer present themselves like they use to.

That doesn't mean you still can't answer your personal call of the wild. You just need to keep it closer to home, in cell phone range and remember to pick up that gallon of milk on the way back...

...that's what were here for, well, not the milk part, but when you need to fix your outdoor mojo turn to us. Looking for inspiration to get out there this weekend or someplace to go? Want to see what others like you are doing? Then come check us out and drop us a line.

We're at http://www.midatlanticoutdoors.com. Browse around, sign-up for our newsletters, send us your latest adventure and let us know what you think. On this blog I am just going to comment on what's upcoming and the production process and not really delve into the actual content of the site. But I welcom any and all reponses here and look forward to reading them.

Cheers!

Steve
